Kathy Cruz is a nationally recognized expert in bankruptcy law. During her twenty-two years in legal practice, she has been quoted in the Congressional Record as a source on bankruptcy law, served as a reference on bankruptcy law for CNN, and been cited in Progressive Magazine and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
She is the only attorney in Arkansas who is board certified in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification, a designation shared by fewer than one in five hundred attorneys across the United States.
Ms. Cruz is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), where she serves as the state chair for the state of Arkansas, and of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, The National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, and the American Bar Association. She also serves as the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) state chair for the state of Arkansas.
